City repairs sanitary sewer overflow on Green Meadow Drive

The Jefferson City Wastewater Division has cleaned and repaired a sanitary sewer overflow of untreated sewage in the 2000 block of Green Meadow Drive.

City officials say today's overflow caused a discharge into an unnamed tributary to the Moreau River. City crews have stopped the discharge and have determined the cause to be a leaking pressure sewer.

The incident has been reported to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
