Johnson comes up on short end of title match

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Jefferson City junior Jared Johnson finished second at 189 pounds in the Class 4 State Championships for the second straight season, falling 9-7 to Blue Springs senior Louis Foutz on Saturday night at Mizzou Arena.

"It was a great match, he wrestled hard and he doesn't have anything to be ashamed of," Jays coach Phil Cagle said.

Three other Jays earned medals Saturday.
