Dear Editor:
This is a response to the story that stated Gov. Nixon appoints a new chairman to State Board, Kevin Gunn.
Mr. Gunn, who is responsible for regulating utilities, said this and I quote, "I am deciding what my priorities will be as chairman."
My answer to this would be the first thing, you need to do is learn how to sat no to AmerenUE every time they ask for a rate increase. I know we need power, but in my opinion this is not the correct way to build a power plant. All business places would love to have this done by their customers up front when they want to expand.
Also they should have the funds and bonding capacity to build their own power plant instead of having customers pay up front. Now we even have a freshman senator jumping in and telling us this is the right thing to do after not being on the job a year so far.
