Missouri chief justice to speak to lawmakers Wednesday

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - An annual speech to lawmakers about Missouri's courts that was postponed because of last week's winter storm has been rescheduled for Wednesday.

The Missouri Supreme Court said Chief Justice William Ray Price would deliver the state of the judiciary speech to a joint legislative session at 2 p.m.

Price was scheduled to give the speech Feb. 2. But lawmakers last week wrapped up their work early and canceled the speech because of a storm that dropped about 18 inches of snow in central Missouri.
