YOUR OPINION: Senator fails to support repeal of health care law

Dear Editor:

Recently, once again, Sen. McCaskill failed to follow the will of Missourians by voting against repealing the Health Care law. I watched again the debate on the floor of the Senate and was once again amazed by the statements made by some senators. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., began by telling us that the bill insured that no payments would be made to hospitals until it was verified that "toilets were clean", that "MRSA is caused by dirty toilets." I do hope a physician talks to him, he needs information. He, like Chuck Shumer, D-N.Y., and every self-proclaimed Democrat, probably need to read the actual law, along with the Constitution.

Now, the Justice Department will try to do everything they can to keep the challenges to the law from fast tracking to the Supreme Court. I do hope when it does get to the Supreme Court that Justice Kagan recuses herself since she was part of the Obama Administration at the time the law was passed.

I hope and pray (even though people don't like to hear someone say it, I for one won't apologize for praying), that this horrific law never fully gets implemented, that the Supreme Court rules the mandate unconstitutional, therefore the entire law will be thrown out and that Claire McCaskill gets voted out of office. In her own words, "it's time to get the pitchforks."

I'd like to see the News Tribune start asking her why she hasn't listened to Missourians, has not been yelling about the increased cost of gas, food and other fuels. I've not seen any news organization in Missouri really hold her feet to the fire on these issues, everyone's been too polite or PC with her.
