The impending winter weather has put sports activities on hold for today.
Basketball games for the Jefferson City Jays, Lady Jays and Helias Crusaders have been canceled. No makeup dates have been set for the boys' games.
The Lady Jays are now scheduled to travel Friday, Feb. 18, to Waynesville for a game with the Lady Tigers.
The Southern Boone Classic, which was scheduled to start Monday, has been postponed until Thursday.
The first-round games will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the girls playing in the middle school and the boys playing in the high school.
Times and sites for second-round games will determined after the first-round games are completed.
Saturday's action will begin with the fifth-place games. The girls game is slated for a 1 p.m., followed by the boys game at 2:30 p.m. The boys title game will wrap up action in the Classic, scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
