Missouri officers recover stolen Jesus figures

MACON, Mo. (AP) - Several figures of the baby Jesus have been restored to Nativity scenes in north-central Missouri, and three teenagers are accused of trying to ruin Christmas for some residents.

KXEO-AM reports (http://bit.ly/vgfM93) the Macon County sheriff's department began receiving complaints last weekend about Jesus figurines and other decorations disappearing from Nativity scenes. The reports came from churches and homes in Macon and Bevier (buh-VEER').

Deputies say they tracked down the five missing Jesus figures and the other items, and arrested three teens from the area on suspicion of misdemeanor theft.
