A former worker in the criminal division of the Cole County Circuit Clerk's office, who has sued to try and get her job back, now is charged with stealing from that office.

This week, the Cole County grand jury indicted Teressa Klebba, 30, Morrison, on one count of felony stealing.

The probable cause statement was suppressed following the indictment, but the charging document states Klebba took at least $500 while working in the office from July 1, 2010, to July 1, 2011.

Boone County Prosecutor Dan Knight is listed as the special prosecutor in this case.

Klebba has filed a civil suit against Circuit Clerk Brenda Umstattd.
