Helias rebounds from loss, handles state-ranked Mexico

A short memory can often be your best friend.

On Saturday, the Helias Lady Crusaders dropped a tough decision on the road to the St. James Lady Tigers. With the state-ranked Mexico Lady Bulldogs visiting Rackers Fieldhouse on Monday night, there was little time to dwell on the defeat.

“We just had to forget what happened,” Helias coach Doug Light said after the Lady Crusaders topped the Lady Bulldogs 60-43. “We redeemed ourselves, we followed the game plan and we got a win.”
