At the young age of 5, it was so important to one child that he help deliver Christmas toys to the area's neediest children that a special pickup of his donation was scheduled.
For about 15 years, Xander Schmid's dad, Michael, has been participating in the Marine Corps League's Toy for Tots. Last year, when Xander was 4, Schmid asked his son if he wanted to go and help pick out toys.
Most of the toys the pair selected were either picked out by Xander or he helped make the final decisions.
