Area gridders recognized as all-state

The Blair Oaks Falcons led the way among all area schools by having seven players named to the Missouri Football Coaches Association all-state teams that were released recently.

School of the Osage was next on the list of most honorees, as the Indians had five players honored in Class 3.

Four area schools - Jefferson City, Helias, South Callaway and Tipton - had three honorees each.

The California Pintos had two third-team picks in Class 3. Also in Class 3, a Southern Boone running back was a second-team honoree.
