Missouri looks to send off class with victory in Independence Bowl

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Four weeks ago, Missouri's seniors were staring at a harsh reality their careers might be coming to an end sooner than they had hoped. Sitting at 4-5, Missouri had to win two of its final three games to become bowl eligible to extend the season and the careers for the 23 seniors.

The Tigers took care of business, winning all three.

The Independence Bowl, slated for Dec. 26, in Shreveport, La., against North Carolina, is a chance to break a two-game bowl losing streak. It's also a chance for the seniors to finish their careers on a positive note.
