Your Opinion: Help overturn Roe v Wade

Dear Editor:

As the Christmas season approaches, I and most folks are reminded of the birth of a precious child born over 2000 years ago.

Thirty-three years later that life was sacrificed on a cross for the salvation of all who will invite Him, Jesus, into their life. It is a gift that is free and is available to one and all.

At the same time I think of that life, my thoughts extend to the millions of babies whose lives have been snuffed out by the horror of abortion, an act that is blatantly defiant of the sixth commandment. I do not think on that act very long because it literally makes me feel sick.

Another thought that makes me feel sick is knowing that we have a president who is rabidly pro-abortion.

Thanks to him, millions of our tax dollars still go that wicked organization, Planned Parenthood, every year. Their claim of providing health services to women who would otherwise be without them, has been proven false, yet they still get those tax dollars. That is grievous, especially considering the financial condition America is in right now.

Early in 2012 Roe v Wade will have its 39th birthday. Overturning that decision would be a huge and wonderful step in the right direction toward getting America's moral house in order. Wouldn't it be great if Roe v Wade did not get the celebrate its 40th birthday.
