The new two-mile extension to the Horseshoe Bend Parkway (Missouri 242) at the Lake of the Ozarks will officially open to traffic 10 a.m. Dec. 13.
Bob Lynch, Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) engineer, said crews have installed stoplights at the junction of the parkway extension and Bagnell Dam Boulevard, at the bottom of the hill below Denny's restaurant, and are putting the finishing touches on connecting the two roadways.
In the meantime, construction crews are also completing the western section of the U.S. 54 Expressway.
