The season hasn't even started yet, but the Helias volleyball team has suffered a big loss, finding out last week sophomore middle hitter Anna Murphy will be sidelined with a stress fracture in her lower back.
"She can't do anything for four weeks and then they'll reevaluate it and we'll have to see after that," said Helias coach David Harris, whose team opens the season at 6:30 p.m. today at home against Sedalia Smith-Cotton.
Murphy, teaming with seniors Krista Haslag and Eli Sandbothe, had given Helias a group of middle hitters to drool over. But for now, the Lady Crusaders will ....
