Rezoning, PUD sent to City Council for consideration

Despite objections from several residents, the Planning and Zoning Commission has approved recommendations to rezone more than five acres and an amended planned unit development proposal for the Jefferson City Medical Group.

At the commission meeting Thursday, contractors and partners with JCMG described an expansion plan for the medical group, which would include a new building and additional parking spaces in three separate areas. The new building would have two stories and storage in a basement level.

Wish JCMG or some other developer would find a use for that bombed out eysore on the other side of Stadium.

Didn't the council approve the permits and zoning requests for that desecration of nature too?

What good is the planning and zoning process, other than to restrict new business development and raise some more tax money for the city?
