JC Parks-Rec prepares for new fiscal year

The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is preparing to send its budget to the Jefferson City Council and mayor.

At the park board meeting Tuesday, Director Bill Lockwood said the overall budget for the department is proposed as $6,520,955. The budget does not propose any new permanent employees, major programs or program expansions.
