SEATTLE (AP) - Sue Bird scored 17 points and Swin Cash added 16 to help the Seattle Storm beat the San Antonio Silver Stars 78-64 Tuesday night.
Tanisha Wright added 12 points and seven assists for Seattle (11-8), which has won four of five and moved into a tie for third place in the Western Conference with Phoenix.
Scholanda Robinson scored 12 points, Becky Hammon 11 while Sophia Young and Jia Perkins had 10 apiece to lead second-place San Antonio (11-7), which lost its second consecutive game and dropped three games behind conference-leading Minnesota (14-4).
Seattle won its sixth straight home game to improve to 7-1, second best in the league.
The Silver Stars cut an 18-point first-half deficit to one point late in third quarter before the Storm pulled away with a 17-2 run.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Maya Moore scored 22 points and Minnesota opened the fourth quarter with a big run to put away Phoenix.
Minnesota led by five after three quarters and began the final period with a 14-2 surge.
Seimone Augustus finished with 21 points for the Western Conference-leading Lynx (14-4), who have won seven straight games.
Diana Taurasi had 20 points for Phoenix despite being plagued by foul trouble much of the night.
The Mercury (11-8), who have dropped three of four, played without starting center Kara Braxton, who missed the trip to Minnesota while attending to a family matter.

ATLANTA (AP) - Pienette Pierson scored 20 points, Leilani Mitchell sank four 3-pointers - all in the final period - and New York held off Atlanta.
Cappie Pondexter had 16 points and Nicole Powell added 13 for New York (11-8), which solidified its hold on third in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta fell a half game behind Chicago in the race for the conference's fourth and final playoff spot.
Angel McCoughtry led the Dream (8-11) with 24 points. Lindsey Harding added 14 with nine assists.
Atlanta, the defending conference champion, has lost two straight after a five-game winning streak.
