A Jefferson City business has an extra $1.5 million with which to work, all thanks to state Treasurer Clint Zweifel.
On Tuesday morning, Zweifel announced the Missouri Department of Treasury was awarding Jefferson City-based Environmental Engineering a new low-interest loan through the Missouri Linked Deposit Program.
Surrounded by the employees of the business that manufactures components for heating, ventilation and air conditioning units, Zweifel discussed why Environmental Engineering was such a good choice for the program.
“My priorities as your state treasurer have been clear — make government more efficient, more accountable to taxpayers and grow Missouri’s economy by putting Missouri’s best workers back on the job,” Zweifel said. “That’s why I’m so happy to be here today with (Environmental Engineers President) Richard (Pemberton), who is leading a company that is truly reinvesting in Missouri’s workers and the communities in which they serve.”
