Lincoln hits eight batters in loss to Washburn
Monday, April 11, 2011
Lincoln pitchers were in a giving mood Sunday, and the Washburn Ichabods were more than happy to accept the gifts.
Over the course of one nine-inning game, Blue Tiger hurlers hit eight batters and walked another eight, helping the Ichabods to a 13-4 win at Lincoln Field.
“I’m glad people didn’t have to pay to watch that, because we probably would have felt bad enough and given all their money back,” Lincoln coach Jim Dapkus said.
