LU softball team drops a pair

The Lincoln softball team was outscored 16-1 while dropping both halves of a doubleheader with Missouri Western on Saturday at Lincoln Field.

In the opener, the Griffons outhit the Blue Tigers 12-2 while posting a 7-0 victory.

The Griffons won the second game 9-1 in a contest shortened to five innings due to the run rule.
