Lincoln baseball Blue Tigers split

The Lincoln baseball team started Saturday by booting the ball around and giving the Washburn Ichabods some free chances in an 11-5 loss at Lincoln Field.

The Blue Tigers ended it by playing flawlessly in the field while capturing a 4-2 victory.

All in all, Lincoln coach Jim Dapkus is hoping the Blue Tigers will remember the nightcap while forgetting the opener.

“We have the potential to be a very good defensive team, and hopefully we can feed off this (second game) a little bit because this was a very good defensive game for us.”
