Osage County low-water crossing to be replaced

A low-water crossing over the Maries River on Osage County Road 521 will be replaced this summer.

Work is being done to improve water flow and fish movement through the low-water crossing, located south of Westphalia.

The improvement project was approved Wednesday by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission as part of efforts to mitigate environmental impacts from the U.S. 50 relocation project planned in Osage County.
