Helias girls golf coach Dan Mathes broke down the numbers and said he believes his two golfers have a shot to medal at the state tournament.
Now all Mary Schepker and Sophia Pardalos have to do is make it happen.
"They're capable of shooting in the low 80s," Mathes said as the seniors prepared for the two-day Class 2 State Championships set to begin today at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield. "If you shoot in between that 80-85 range a couple of days, you've got a shot."
