COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Jefferson City Jays junior varsity dropped a 20-17 decision Saturday to Rock Bridge.
Elijah Sherwood scored two touchdowns for the Jays, while also picking up a 2-point conversion. The Jays also scored when they brought down the Bruins in the end zone for a safety.
Jared Cook had two sacks for the Jays, while Malik Burnley, Nathan Beckman and Cornelius Hopson had one each. Beckman also caused a fumble, while Armonty McCann recovered a fumble. Michael Washington blocked a punt for the Jays (3-1).
