Jays set to open season tonight at Lebanon

The Jefferson City Jays know it’s a long way until the state wrestling tournament.

“We’re going to take our time, it’s all practice until February,” Jays coach Phil Cagle said as Jefferson City prepared for tonight’s opener at Lebanon. “We’re constantly evaluating, we want to do whatever we can to make our kids better.”

After tonight’s opener, the Jays are off until Dec. 10-11 in the Missouri Duals at Helias before opening their home schedule Dec. 15 against the Crusaders.
