Judges sought for speech, debate tournament

Community judges are needed for the Capital City Classic Speech and Debate Tournament on Jan. 21-22.

Those interested in supporting the 16th annual tournament, hosted by the Jefferson City High School Chapter of the National Forensic League, should sign up as soon as possible for their preferred event.

Events include extemporaneous speaking, Lincoln-Douglas debate, policy debate, original oratory, dramatic and humorous interpretation, and duo interpretation.

The Capital City Classic is among the elite events in the state with many statewide schools participating.

Sample ballots and judging instructions for each event, plus videos of selected events, are available online at www.jcps.k12.mo.us/pstein, then clicking on document manager, then clicking on Capital Classic Judging Information.
