Fourth time’s a charm

WESTPHALIA, Mo. — It doesn’t quite have the same ring as the traditional saying, but the fourth time was the charm for the Fatima boys soccer team.

This time around, with the expanded playoffs putting them into a sectional contest, the Comets left their previous troubles behind and beat Missouri Military Academy 2-1 in overtime Tuesday.

After the teams battled to a 1-1 standstill after regulation, Fatima got the game-winning goal with 4:37 left in the 15-minute overtime period.
