Area hunters asked to watch for woman's body

META, Mo. - A Central Missouri sheriff is asking hunters to be alert for clues to the June disappearance of a 35-year-old woman.

Authorities believe Kinga Gillibrand was shot and killed by her boyfriend, with whom she shared a home in rural Meta. Terry Fritz remains held on $500,000 bond in the Maries County jail. He has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Maries County Sheriff Chris Heitman says he believes Gillibrand's body is still in the Meta area. The sheriff is asking hunters walking the land to canvass the area and report anything suspicious.
