Republicans took the two contested county office races Tuesday in Cole County.

Dan Green, Republican candidate for Cole County circuit judge defeated incumbent Democrat Paul Wilson by a vote of 16,191-11,706.

Wilson will serve until Jan. 1, when Green takes over.

Incumbent Republican Cole County Prosecutor Mark Richardson won re-election to office over Democrat Marshall Wilson.

Richardson got 17,999 votes, while Wilson received 10,003.

Wilson is still the Jefferson City municipal judge and filing is still open in that race.

The majority of the county office races were uncontested.

Wow, Jeff City really messed up on this one. Putting him in office AGAIN, what a joke.

WHAT?! All the complaints that I read in this forum about this man, Richardson, and the fair citizens of JCMO voted him back in? Pitiful. If I lived in JC, I sure would have voted against him. Gee whiz, I still can not believe it.

Pretty amazing considering his win/loss record in jury trials and all of the negative comments on these forums. Wow.

Shoot! Ol' Richardson can send me some of his bankroll if he needs any help distributing cash to keep that tax man off his back. He may not be old enough to be my Daddy, but he sure can be my 'Sugar Daddy'!
