Light display proceeds benefit hospital

KELSO, Mo. (AP) - A southeast Missouri Christmas light display is drawing big crowds, and bringing in money to benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Brandon and Brooks Clark not only put up 80,000 lights at their mother's home in Kelso, they synchronized them with Christmas carols. Their mother, Wanda, estimates that 10,000 people have made the out-of-the-way trip to see the lights.

The Southeast Missourian reports that as of Christmas Eve, visitors had dropped off about $11,000 for the hospital.

Brandon Clark says it took three months to get all the lights up. It even required installing a new transformer at the home.
