Surtax issue is now a waiting game

Parties in county’s lawsuit notified on Friday

Efforts to reach an agreement on how to repay overpayments and underpayments in Cole County’s surtax fund have seen plenty of action in the past few weeks.

With multiple lawsuits pending and statements being issued by the different involved parties, there can be some confusion about where the all of the entities involved currently stand.

For some, like Jefferson City, it is simply a waiting game.
