Sedalia man convicted of 14 counts of child sex crimes

MARSHALL, Mo. (AP) - A Sedalia man who was accused by three women of sexually abusing them when they were young has been found guilty of 14 counts of sex crimes against children.

The Sedalia Democrat reports that a Saline County jury on Thursday found Terry Prisendorf guilty on eight counts of statutory rape, four counts of statutory sodomy and two counts of child molestation.

He and a former girlfriend were arrested in January after two women told police the couple had sexually abused them in1996 and 1997. The accusers, relatives of the girlfriend, Laurie Becker, were living with the couple and were 8 and 9 at the time. A relative of Prisendorf's who lived with the couple also accused the couple of sexual abuse.

Becker has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial.
