When 50 students returned to their classes Monday at Helias Catholic High School from a five-day mission trip to Memphis, Tenn., they were better able to identify with St. Nicholas on his feast day.

"St. Nicholas gave to the people and I honestly feel like I did too," said junior Royce Lauer.

Thursday and Friday of last week, Lauer helped teachers in an immensely diverse junior high school at St. John Baptist De La Salle Catholic School.
