It was a borrowed Sousaphone resting in his parents’ basement that started Bruce Connor's real musical pursuit.
Now, during the day, he’s instructing young wind musicians. In the afternoon, he directs their marching steps and then heads to Capital Music — where he became a part-owner last spring — to repair instruments.
Then many of his evenings are filled with rehearsals or concerts with the Jefferson City Community Symphonic Band and the Jefferson City Symphony Orchestra.
