Gracie, a year-old German Shepherd service dog, lays at the feet of Barbara Selke Tuesday during Crass Stitch in the gallery at Missouri River Regional Library. The event was an opportunity in which about a dozen women took part to either continue something they already do or to try it for the first time. Mariah Luebbering, who works in adult programming at the library, lead the group through it, showing a few first-time participants how to thread a needle and making those cross stitches.
