Kelly Porch, 56, of Holts Summit, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Boone Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1967 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the son of Patricia (Summerlot) Porch.
Kelly graduated in the class of 1985 at Jefferson City High School where he played football, held a seat in student council and participant in math club.
Following high school, he was the manager at True Value Hardware where he later met the love of his life, Michelle. He had a passion for entrepreneurship, owning The Carpet Store, Porch Realty, and The Summit Theater. Kelly’s most recent employment was continued as a roofing adjuster, traveling to many different states.
Kelly was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and was not ashamed to show his love for Jesus.
When it came to sports, he was the real “O.G.” Kansas City Chiefs fan and couldn’t wait to watch this years Superbowl with his son. Kelly also loved to watch and play tennis. Being a risk taker, Kelly also loved going to “the boat.” Above all else in life, Kelly cherished his kids and grandchildren, each moment was precious.
He is survived by his son, Joshua (Danielle) Porch; two daughters, Teryn Porch and Patricia (Darek) Porch-Baker; seven grandchildren; Emily, Landon, Kolbi, Collin, Canaan, Cooper; and his baby dog, Ginger.
He was preceded in death by his soulmate, Michelle Porch; his parents; three siblings, Kevin Porch, Lisa Hurley and Kimberly Taylor; and one grandson, Cameron Porch.
Friend will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, 540 S. Summit Dr., Holts Summit, MO 65043 immediately followed by the funeral service. Interment will follow at the Summit Memorial Gardens in Holts Summit, Missouri.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family in care of Patricia Porch-Baker (daughter), 310 Edwards Drive, Holts Summit, MO 65043 to help with funeral expenses.
