Erman C.A. Loesch, 94, of Jefferson City, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Heisinger Bluffs surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 5, 1930, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Otto and Emma (Bratschi) Loesch.
Erman met the love of his life, Dorothy Mohr, and the two were married on April 22, 1956.
Erman was a man of God. He was baptized on February 23, 1930, and was Confirmed on April 14, 1946, both at St. John Lutheran Church in Stringtown. He attended school at the Corinth School and St. John’s Lutheran School. In 1951, he was drafted and served his country in the United States Army obtaining the rank of Corporal, he was stationed in Panama during the Korean War. He worked as a farmer, painter and carpenter. Erman was known as an all-around great guy. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson City serving as Elder, as well as serving in many other capacities of the Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Loesch of Jefferson City, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Marvin Theroff, Larry Theroff, Melvin Loesch (Marjorie), Ruth Ann Klatt (Ron), Glenn Loesch (Carol), Carol Sue Fischer (Dale), Debbie Rodden (Brian), and Daryl Erhart (Angela); 24 great-nieces and nephews; 34 great-great-nieces and nephews; and six great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
Erman was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Emma Loesch; siblings, Clarence Loesch, Edna Zehender, Nelda Theroff, and Valeda Erhart; and nephew, Clyde Theroff and great nephew, Gabriel Loesch.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for a Visitation with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with Pastor Sam Powell and Pastor Jesse Schlie of Trinity Lutheran, officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City, with full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, in Jefferson City, for the Sanctuary Restoration Fund.
