Lillian Barbara “Bea” Veit, 95, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born April 20, 1927, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Mathias and Mary C. (Welch) Distler. She was united in marriage on June 28, 1958, in Jefferson City to Paul August Veit, who preceded her in death on May 6, 1999. Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She also dearly loved her nieces and nephews and spending time with their families. She worked in many local homes where she became a life-long treasured friend. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martins and was a former member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Lillian enjoyed cooking and baking for all her family, playing card games, and being with family. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Kay (Stan) Kliethermes, Holts Summit; a granddaughter, Felicia (Eric) Hubble, Jefferson City; a grandson, Jeremy (Misty) Kliethermes, Jefferson City; three great-grandchildren, Holden Hubble, Lillian (Lillie) Hubble, Ava Kliethermes; and one sister, Loretta Brauner, California. She was preceded in death by her husband; infant twin sons, Ronnie and Donnie Veit; a granddaughter, Stacey Kliethermes; a great-grandson, Dean Kliethermes; one brother, Martin Distler, two sisters and spouses, Anna Marie (Joseph) Brauner, Margaret (Jerome) Reinkemeyer; brother-in-law, Walter Brauner; sister-in-law and spouse, Mary (Frank) Schwarzer; and brother-in-law and spouse, Herman (Mary Ann) Veit. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Jason Doke officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic Church.
