Harold Richard Kirchhoff

Harold Richard "Dick" Kirchhoff, 77, of Centertown, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at his home. He was born November 26, 1944, in McGirk, Mo., the son of Herman and Pearl Hackney Kirchhoff, both of whom preceded him in death. Dick served his country in the Vietnam War. Dick was married to Mary Teresa Imhoff on November 19, 1970, at Cedron Catholic Church. He was a lifelong cattle farmer. He loved working for fun and flipping houses. Dick also loved destroying houses with his bobcat. On days he could not work, he enjoyed reading John Grisham and old western books and watching bull riding. For many years, Dick worked at the Fulton State Hospital in the maintenance department. He bred and trained English Shepherds. Dick was known for his determination, wit, and humor. He loved being around his grandchildren. Harold is survived by a son, Jesse Ray Kirchhoff (Shelly) of Centertown; his daughter, Kristina I. Welch (Lucas) of California; granddaughters, Hannah Kirchhoff and Whitney Welch; two sisters, Pat Phillips (Eddie) and Jerene Huff (Jim); and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Teresa Kirchhoff, on December 18, 2019; brothers, Ted, Lewis, and Boyd Kirchhoff; and a sister, Mary Ann Hickman. Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service, with a Eulogy following with Pastor Jake Carlisle officiating. Private family inurnment will be at Cedron Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Cedron Catholic Cemetery or Friends of Cedron.
