She retired from the Conservation Department to help with her grandchildren. Family was the most important aspect of her life and she always looked forward to quality time with them. Joan loved baking and cooking meals for family on occasions such as: Sunday dinners, holidays and birthday celebrations. Meals and laughter with family were her favorite times. She attended many school functions, sporting events, and school plays to support them. She loved to share their accomplishments with her friends with stories and photos.
