Steven "Bud" Edwards

Steven “Bud” Edwards, 77, of California, Mo., passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022, at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City, Mo. He was born on December 15, 1944 in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Ira Edwards and Merle Neblock, both of whom preceded him in death. He was united in marriage in California, Mo. to Betty Jenkins on November 7, 1968, who survives of the home. Steven worked for the City of California Street Dept. for 30 years until his retirement. He was also a Army National Guard Veteran. He enjoyed westerns, painting ceramics, hunting, enjoyed life, and said after breakfast it was a great day to take a nap. He is survived by one son, Robert Edwards (Tina) of Henley, Mo.; two brothers, Thomas Edwards and Jack Edwards; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, John and Jerry Edwards; and brother, Gerald Edwards. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo., with Bro. Tom Mustain officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Alzheimer and Dementia Society, c/o the funeral home. Arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
