He was united in marriage to Susan Elise Fuehlen on April 15, 1961, at St. Genevieve DuBois Catholic Church in Warson Woods, Missouri. He also worked as a contract salesman for Bayer Pharmaceutical and from there he became a member of the quality improvement team for the Missouri Patient Care Review Foundation. Dan eventually retired in August of 2002. Dan enjoyed the freedom of the open road and often took long drives covering past pharmaceutical routes to see the changes over the years. He also enjoyed walking his dog, Molly, around the neighborhood and visiting with his wonderful friends who lived in the area. Another favorite of Dan's was making daily stops to Central Dairy to order his soda fountain coke and spend time talking to all of those who worked behind the counter. The Reed family sends a special thank you to these many friends who helped fill Dan's day with conversation and laughter.
