Anna C. (Wolken) Schulte, 83, of Eugene, Mo., passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Jefferson City Manor surrounded by her children. She was born October 12, 1938, in Osage Bend, Missouri, the daughter of Otto B. and Rosie A. (Prenger) Wolken. Anna was united in marriage on October 11, 1969, at St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church, Osage Bend to Lambert (L.W.) Schulte Jr. who proceeded her in death on June 15, 1983. Anna was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Mary’s Home. Anna held many jobs during her life, as a young girl she spent countless hours with neighbors, aunts and uncles helping care for children. Later in life she worked at International Shoe Factory, McGraws and ran and in-home daycare before working at FASCO Industries in Eldon until her retirement in October 1998. Anna loved gardening, listening to old country music, working in her search a word books, playing rummy, and keeping the front porch of her home decorated with many different kinds of flowers she tended to each day. Anna enjoyed spending time with family and cooking big meals for them to all come together and eat around the kitchen table, Chad and Addy always asked for her famous mashed potatoes. Her greatest pride and joy where her two grandchildren, Chad and Addyson. She made sure she had a cold Pepsi and a snack ready when they would visit. Survivors include three children: Matthew Schulte, Eugene; Rosie Schulte, Mary’s Home, Loretta (Scott) Bittle, Osage Bend; two grandchildren Chad and Addyson Bittle, Osage Bend; Brother: Albert (Odilia) Wolken, Wardsville; Sister in law: Betty Schulte, Mary’s Home and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, L.W.; father and mother-in-law, Lambert Schulte Sr. and Elizabeth (Doerhoff) Schulte; brothers and sisters-in-law: Alma and Henry Rehagen, Roman and Tillie Schulte, Emil and Gertrude Schulte, Jim and Aemilda Dunn, Joe and Lorraine Bosch, Francis and Agnes Arens, Herman and Fredonia Arens, George (Jake) and Eleanor Hitz, Norbert and Ann Schulte, Bernard and Josephine Schwaller, Andrew and Bernadine Schulte, Robert and Margie Schulte, and Justin Schulte. Anna was a very private person, she preferred not to have anyone make a fuss over her. At her request a prayer service will be held August 22, 10:30 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, Mo. Following the prayer service, interment for immediate family will be at her resting place at Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery in Mary’s Home with Rev. Dan Lueckenotte, Anna’s cousin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in the care of the family to be distributed in Anna’s name to Miraculous Medals, St. Margaret's of Antioch Cemetery, Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery and Hospice Compassus. Services are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home – Eldon.
