Delphine Regina McMillen, 88, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. She was born on June 24, 1934, in Westphalia, a daughter of the late Hugo Shauwecker and Francis (Luebbert) Shauwecker. Delphine was united in marriage on April 30, 1988, in Columbia, Missouri to her husband, Leslie McMillen. Delphine worked for the Missouri Department of Health in the lab for many years. Later in life she became a receptionist for McMillen Tax Service. She was a chapter leader for Mid-Missouri Chapter of Compassionate Friends for many years. She enjoyed embroidery, quilting, and dancing with friends. Most of all she was dedicated to and loved her family. Delphine is survived by her husband, Leslie McMillen; daughters, Cherlye (Steve) Kelly, Victoria Morris, Sandy (Steve) Brown, Veronica (Rick) Schuster; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Roark; sister, Olivia Deeken; brother-n-law, Charlie Deeken; sons, Dennis and Daniel Roark; grandsons, Brad Roark and Kevin Michael Morris. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with Father Medina officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to The Compassionate Friends Mid-Missouri Chapter.
