Michelle Lee Gleba, age 50, of Columbia, Missouri, died Monday, August 8, 2022, at Boone Hospital of a sudden heart attack. Michelle was born in Macon, Missouri, on November 21, 1971, to Mi-Cha (Pak) Harris of Seoul, Korea, and the late Hubert J. Harris of Macon. Michelle left Macon to graduate from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg with a journalism degree and become a newspaper reporter for the Fulton Sun. She went on to be accredited by the Public Relations Society of America and serve in a variety of communication and administrative positions for the Missouri Attorney General's Office, Columbia College, City of Jefferson, Missouri Department of Revenue and Better Business Bureau. In addition to her mother, Michelle is survived by her daughter, Chelsea Gleba of Columbia; brother, Sean Harris of Macon; nieces, Tyra and Seanice Harris; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends across the country. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2022, at Parker-Millard Funeral Service & Crematory, 12 East Ash Street, Columbia, MO 65203, 573-449-4153. A private burial will follow at Columbia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the softball program at Daniel Boone Little League, where Michelle and her daughter formed many fond memories and lasting friendships.
