Jane Frances Bonnot, 98, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by family and friends. She was born January 25, 1924, in Bonnots Mill, Missouri, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Jansen) Bonnot. She was a 1941 graduate of Bonnots Mill High School. Following high school, Jane worked at a factory in Linn that specialized in making duffle bags for the Army during World War II. She later worked for the Missouri Highway Department as a statistical clerk, retiring February 1, 1987. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Immaculata Club, the Missouri State Employee's Retirement System, and the State Highway and Transportation Employee's Association of Missouri. In her retirement years, Jane enjoyed attending church picnics with friends and traveling. Survivors include several cousins, good friends, and two Goddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Clifford (Frances) Bonnot; and a nephew, James Paul Bonnot. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. The Rev. Tony Onyeihe and the Rev. George Kramer, will be concelebrating. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
