Fred Gerald Lampman

Fred Gerald "Fritz" Lampman, 84, California, Mo., passed away on August 9, 2022, at Tipton Oak Manor. He was born May 19, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Willard E. and Thelma R. (Meisinger) Lampman. Fred graduated from South High School in 1956. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 until 1962 as a Fireman. Fred was a professionally trained Auctioneer and a former radio announcer. He retired as Superintendent 1 from the Missouri Department of Corrections in 2000, where he worked for 23 1/2 years. Fred loved gospel, C&W, and Bluegrass music. He loved to sing Karaoke. He was a member of Clarksburg Baptist Church, where he would sing on occasion. Fred is survived by his wife of the home, Patricia Lampman; children, Julie Mae Tweedy (Ray) of Lochbuie, Colo., Thomas A. Lampman Cook of Columbia, Mo., and Brad Proctor (Wendy) of Columbia, Mo., Sherry Barnes (James), Mark Coffelt, Joe Coffelt (Beverly) and Jim Coffelt (Sharon) all of California, Mo.; grands and great-grands. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Murphy Lampman, in 2009; grandson, Corey Coffelt, on February 7, 2022; four brothers, Willard E. Lampman Jr., Kenneth W. Lampman, Thomas Lampman, in September 2021; and Terry Nadreau, one daughter, Tamera Neher on April 3, 2022. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 13, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. with service following at 2:00 p.m. at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service. Inurnment at New Hope Cemetery at a later date.
