Karen Wolfmeyer

Dr. Karen Wolfmeyer, DO, passed away on July 20, 2022, in South Bend, Indiana. Born August 10, 1939, Dr. Wolfmeyer was a graduate of the Kirksville Missouri College of Osteopathic Medicine medical school (1965) and practiced medicine in the South Bend area for many years. In 1991 she moved to Jefferson City, Missouri where she practiced in the area before retiring and returning to South Bend. Over many years, Dr. Wolfmeyer was known to both her patients and those she chose to work with as a kind, compassionate and knowledgeable physician. Dr. Wolfmeyer is survived by her children, Kirstin Bird Marker and Matthew Ellis Bird and her sister Diana Pascoe, as well as three granddaughters, two nieces, a great-nephew and three great-nieces. Her husband, Roger E. Bird died in 2016. A memorial gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, at St. Mark Missionary Church, located at 11805 Loughlin Drive, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.
