Cyrilla G. "Squirt" Weider, 92, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 19, 1929, in Maries County, Missouri, a daughter of the late Louis and Christina (Evers) Renkemeyer. Squirt was united in marriage to James Weider on May 28, 1949 in Vienna, Missouri. She was a graduate of Visitation Catholic School. Squirt worked for Tweedie and International Shoe for many years before becoming a machine operator at Cheseborough Ponds. She retired in 1988 after 21 years of employment. Squirt loved to work outdoors and tend her garden. In the summer she could be found in her kitchen canning the fruits of her labor. She and her sister-in-law, Helen, loved to go dancing. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed. Squirt is survived by her children, Allen "Buddy" Weider (Tammy) and Nancy Cooper (David); siblings, Robert Renkemeyer, Norma Lee Logan, Imogene Wyss-Merry and Mary Louise Ketchum; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, numerous step-great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Weider; brother, Leander Renkemeyer; and sisters, Viola Borgmeyer, Verna Key and Corena Duncan. Friends will be received on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Prayer service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with burial following at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
